Pay a visit to the sunny Greek beaches while drinking a refreshing Greek Frappé, a popular holiday coffee drink. To make this famous drink, mix well a heaping teaspoon of instant coffee with sugar (optional) and just a splash of cold water to moisten it. Beat vigorously until you have a soft creamy foam. Put this mixture over ice cubes in a tall glass; and add milk or water to taste. The result is an invigorating, frothy coffee that will keep you refreshed throughout the day – ideal for hot weather or even as a little treat when you need it. Also, garnish with a mint sprig or lemon wedge for an extra Mediterranean flavor.
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons instant coffee
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons hot water
Ice cubes
Cold water or milk
Optional: cream or ice cream for topping
Instructions:
Mix the instant coffee, sugar, and hot water inside a shaker or jar with a well-fitting lid. Shake it very hard for around 30 seconds until it turns into a frothy and foamy mixture.
Ice cubes should be filled in a glass.
The froth coffee mixture should be poured on top of ice cubes in the glass.
Cold water or milk can later be added to taste according to your preference.
You may also add some cream at the top or serve it with ice cream just to make it more special.
This drink is served after being stirred properly and can be enjoyed as an appetizing Greek frappe.
