Tantalise your taste buds with this Hummus with Steamed Vegetables and Roast Meat recipe. This dish allies a smooth and creamy plate of chickpea and tahini base of the hummus, lemon and garlic with steamed vegetables bursting with freshness and natural flavours. For a grainy feel, perfectly cooked and well seasoned meat; which could be beef, chicken or lamb is also provided. Ingredients:
1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup mixed vegetables (such as carrots, broccoli, and bell peppers)
1 lb roast meat (such as chicken, beef, or lamb)
Instructions:
In a medium-sized pot, heat the splattered chickpeas to edge of boiling over, then stew. Cook for 30-40 minutes or until the chickpeas are delicate.
Channel the chickpeas and save a cup of the cooking fluid. Add the chickpeas, minced garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper to a food processor. Blend equitably and add the saved cooking fluid gradually until the ideal consistency is reached.
In another pot, heat water to limit and put a lined box on top. Add the blended vegetables to the pot and stew for 5-7 minutes or until delicate.
Preheat grill to 375°F. Season the meat of the dish with salt, pepper and other wanted flavors. Put the meat on a baking sheet and heat for 20-30 minutes, or until cooked through however you would prefer.
