Miso Soup

Enjoy the warm taste of Japan with Miso Soup which is considered traditional soup dish for its ease of preparation and dense with taste. This soup seems to have a clear soup base which is the Japanese soup stock called as Dashi to which miso paste has been added to give its unique taste. Sinking in the broth are cubes of soft tofu giving the soup a smooth, delicate feeling and; protein profile. Accompanying the tofu you may enjoy softer strands of seaweed like in wakame, adding the reminiscence of the sea. Swimming in the flavoring mixture, completed with the sprinkle of green onions which are finely chopped, the soup is a perfect blend of the right combination of tasted perfectly and nutrient-dense ingredients. Anyway, Miso Soup can be taken as appetizer right after you have set a Japanese meal or as secondary dish, a snack which is healthy enough to be eaten alone.

Ingredients:

4 cups water

2 tablespoons miso paste

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 block tofu, cubed

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 cup sliced green onions

Instructions:

Next, about 3-4 inches of water should be boiled in a medium pot. Reduce heat to low.

Take a small bowl and dissolve approximately a fewer tablespoons of miso paste in hot water.

Mix miso paste along with the soy sauce and the sesame oil into the pot of water. Stir well to combine.

A tofu and mushooms are added to the pot and left to simmer for five minutes.

Finally, before you serve the soup, incorporate the green onions which has been sliced.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed/ wished.

Enjoy your meal! Depending on your preference you can consume the miso soup while hot.
